Yes. WinZip Enterprise performs its cryptographic operations through Microsoft’s FIPS 140-3 validated Cryptographic Primitives Library, running in a FIPS approved mode. FIPS 140-3 is the current standard and supersedes FIPS 140-3. The validated cryptographic module is Microsoft’s; WinZip Enterprise is the compliant application that calls it.
This applies to WinZip Enterprise. Other WinZip editions can use the same encryption method but are not FIPS compliant.

Yes. Administrators can enable activity logging, which records the file operations WinZip performs, including adding, extracting, renaming, and moving files. Entries are written to the Windows event log on each machine, where existing IT tooling can view, collect, and forward them.
WinZip verifies that its own program files carry a valid signature every time it starts. If any file fails that check, WinZip exits and none of its executables run, so a modified copy never executes. The check covers every WinZip executable.
