Product Manager - WinZip Japan

POSITION SUMMARY

WinZip Computing, is looking a hands-on, detail-oriented, top-performing person for the position of Product Manager WinZip Japan to expand the presence of WinZip in the Japanese market. WinZip Computing was acquired by Corel last year and released for the first time a full Japanese version in the beginning of 2007. The Product Manager WinZip Japan will be responsible for the marketing, sales and support of WinZip in Japan. He/She will work closely with the Corel team in Japan and the WinZip team in Connecticut USA. Candidates are expected to have a high level of initiative and responsibility, and flexibility and willingness to perform all levels of work are important.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be the link between the Corel sales organization in Japan and the WinZip Product team in USA
• Introduce WinZip Japanese version in retail together with Corel sales team
• Prepare marketing, PR and advertising campaigns to promote WinZip in Japan together with the marketing team of WinZip in USA
• Negotiate together with the Corel corporate license sales team large multi-user licenses with corporations and government organizations
• Train local Corel sales force and resellers in WinZip
• Prepare or coordinate the preparation of a Japanese version of the WinZip website
• Launch and manage the WinZip E-store in Japan
• Be the product specialist and assist the support team with more complicated customer support issues

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3-5 years experience in managerial position
• A college degree in business or equivalent experience
• Entrepreneurial spirit/self starter
• Fluent in Japanese and English
• Avid PC-user
• People skills
• Strong negotiator
• Results driven
• Down to earth and hands on person who is not afraid to do simple tasks him/herself
