Why is my registration code not working in WinZip Self-Extractor 3.1?

WinZip Self-Extractor 3.1 is a free update from WinZip Self-Extractor 3.0 but not from prior versions. WinZip Self-Extractor 3.1 has a new registration scheme with codes that are 30 characters long. Therefore, registration codes from versions of WinZip Self-Extractor prior to WinZip Self-Extractor 3.0 cannot be used to register WinZip Self-Extractor 3.1.

If you have a single-user license and you install WinZip Self-Extractor 3.1 over your existing (registered) WinZip Self-Extractor 2.x software, you will end up with an evaluation version of WinZip Self-Extractor 3.1. In order to obtain a WinZip Self-Extractor 3.1 registration code, you must purchase an upgrade. If you install WinZip Self-Extractor 3.1 over your existing (registered) WinZip Self-Extractor 3.0 software, you will still be registered.

If you have a multi-user license, you will NOT be registered if you install WinZip Self-Extractor 3.1 over your registered copy of WinZip Self-Extractor 3.0. Please contact help@winzip.com for additional information regarding your registration file.

Registered users of previous versions of WinZip Self-Extractor are eligible to upgrade at 50% of the WinZip Self-Extractor 3.1 list price.
