How do I upgrade to WinZip Pro?
Registered users of any version of WinZip® Standard including all versions of WinZip 9 and earlier, are eligible to upgrade to the latest version of WinZip Pro for a special price.
A special upgrade offer is sent to all registered users to the e-mail address on file with WinZip Computing. If you are not able to locate the e-mail offer, then visit our upgrade page and provide the information requested to receive your special upgrade offer by e-mail.
When you receive the e-mail, follow the links to purchase a WinZip upgrade. Once your purchase is complete, new WinZip registration information for your upgraded version will be e-mailed to you.

How do I upgrade from a Single-User WinZip 11 Standard license to a Single-User WinZip 11 Pro license?
To convert your existing WinZip 11 Standard Single-User license to a WinZip 11 Pro Single-User license:
- On your desktop, please double click on the 'WinZip' shortcut to open WinZip.
- Choose 'Register WinZip Pro Upgrade' on the 'Help' menu.
- Copy and paste your 'Registration Name' and 'Registration Code' into the 'Register WinZip 11' dialog. Be sure to either delete the 'Registration Code' that is there first or overwrite it.
If WinZip 11 is not installed on your computer, please follow these steps:
- Use the following link to download the WinZip 11 installation file to your desktop and double click to install.

- Copy and paste your 'Registration Name' and 'Registration Code' into the registration reminder dialog and click the 'Register' button.

To convert your existing WinZip 11 Standard Multi-User license to a WinZip 11 Pro Multi-User license:
- Download your unique registration file (WinZip.wzmul) from the link provided in your order confirmation and save it to your desktop.
- Double click on WinZip.wzmul to begin the registration process.
If WinZip 11 is not installed on your computer, please follow these steps:
- Use the following link to download the WinZip 11 installation file to your desktop and double click to install:

How do I upgrade from a Multi-User WinZip 11 Standard license to a Single-User WinZip 11 Pro license?
When converting your Multi-User Standard WinZip license to a Single-User Pro license, please note that uninstalling WinZip does not remove the Multi-User Standard registration file (WinZip.wzmul). If you only uninstall and then reinstall WinZip you will once again be registered with a Multi-User Standard license.
Please follow these steps to upgrade from a Multi-User Standard license to a Single-User Pro license.
- Manually delete the Multi-User Standard registration file (WinZip.wzmul). *See the directions below.
- Restart WinZip. WinZip reverts to the evaluation version.
- Copy and paste your WinZip 11 Pro 'Registration Name' and 'Registration Code' into the registration reminder dialog and click on 'Register'.
Deleting the WinZip Multi-User license file (WinZip.wzmul)
For Microsoft® Windows® 2000 and Windows XP:
- Open 'My Computer' or Windows Explorer.
- Click 'Tools'.
- Choose 'Folder Options'.
- Click on the 'View' tab.
- Choose 'Show hidden files and folders'.
- Uncheck 'Hide file extensions for known file types'.
- Click on 'OK'.
- Navigate to the folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\WinZip - Delete the file WinZip.wzmul.
For Windows Vista®:
- Open 'Computer'.
- Click 'Organize'.
- Choose 'Folder and Search Options'.
- Click on the 'View' tab.
- Choose 'Show hidden files and folders'.
- Uncheck 'Hide extensions for known file types'.
- Click on 'OK'.
- Navigate to the folder:
C:\ProgramData\WinZip - Delete the file WinZip.wzmul.
