WinZip Command Line Support Add-on

The WinZip^® Command Line Support Add-On is a FREE add-on for users of WinZip 11.2 Standard or Pro with a valid license. Before installing this add-on, please make sure you have WinZip 11.2 or later installed.

The WinZip Command Line Support Add-On provides a command line interface that gives you the power of WinZip without the usual WinZip graphical user interface. It allows you to use WinZip directly from the command prompt and from batch (.BAT) files and script languages, making it ideal for automating repetitive tasks. An extensive set of command line options gives you pinpoint control over WinZip's actions. And, in automated environments, end-users need not know anything about how to use WinZip.

The latest version of WinZip Command Line Support Add-On (v2.3) supports WinZip 11.2 features — most notably, our new “best method” option that allows WinZip to choose the most effective compression method based on the file type. This new “best method” option includes support for PPMd and bzip2 compression methods in order to provide greater compression for many types of files and reduce the size of Zip files, saving data transmission time and valuable disk space. (Of course, users can also select these compression formats manually.) WinZip Command Line Support Add-On also includes the Windows Attachment Management security feature that adds a security zone to files, as well as options that allow you to extract files from a Zip file with or without security zone information.
